Russell B. Tidwell, 67, Lawson, Missouri passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Kansas City VA Medical Hospital.
He was born October 8, 1951, to Charles D., Sr., and Norma Ruth (Ridenour) Tidwell in Kansas City, Kansas. Russell was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.
He married Patsey Sullivan on May 4, 1971. She survives of the home.
Russell was a factory worker for Ford Motor Company and retired in 2007. He loved farming and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charles and Ralph Tidwell.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mary Tidwell; son, John Tidwell; granddaughter, Katherine Tidwell; grandson, Patrick Tidwell; sisters, Linda Williams and Jeanie Standiford (Bernie); brothers, David and Lewis Tidwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Russell was a member of the Missouri Cremation Service. Inurnment will be at the Higginsville, Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Disabled American Veterans. Online guestbook and obituary at www.missouricremation.com.
