Jo Ann Dorsey, 86, Liberty, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2021.
She was born July 21, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas, to Frank and Thelma (Cottey) Thompson.
Jo married the love of her life, William Charles Dorsey on June 21, 1957. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2014. They were avid antique collectors and traveled the country gathering antiques to fill their Antebellum home in Plattsburg, MO.
She was a registered nurse, holding a bachelor’s degree in science. She had also been a professional hairdresser.
Jo was an accomplished folk-art painter and animal lover. She was known to feed all and care for all creatures.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include many cousins, as well as nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
