Steven Lyle Harvey, 57, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, died Saturday, December 31, 2005 at his home after battling cancer.
Born April 9, 1948 in Grand Haven Michigan, he was a resident of Lee’s Summit for a number of years.
On July 3, 1968 in Tokyo, Japan, he married Kaoru Harvey, who survives of the home.
Mr. Harvey served in the United States Marine Corp for twelve years and then worked for the Defense Finance and Accounting Services, until retiring in 2003.
He enjoyed hunting and music, and spending time with grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, grandfather, and brother, and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Luella Harvey; and two brothers, Kenneth and Richard Harvey.
(Additional Survivors:) a son, Patrick Harvey, Garden City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Mattison, Sophia, and Faith Harvey, all of Garden City, Missouri; seven brothers and sisters, Clinton Harvey, Tucson, Arizona, Wayne Harvey, Orange, Texas, Bette Schubert, Muskegon, Michigan, Carol Graham, Lewisville, Texas, Gerald Harvey, Livingston, Texas, Marilyn Smith, Bedford, Texas, and Roger Harvey, Olathe, Kansas.
Mr. Harvey was a member of the Missouri Cremation Services.
