Ruth I. Veraguth, 83, Plattsburg, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at a Gower, Missouri health care center.
Born March 30, 1923 in Plattsburg, MO. She was a life long area resident and had lived in St. Joseph for a time.
She was a cook at Missouri Western State University for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell D. Veraguth in 1996, and by her parents James and Nancy Josephine (Mitchell) Maddox.
(Survivors:) her daughter Nancy Peery of Stewartsville, Missouri; two sons James Sells of Lawson, Missouri, Ivan Sell of Elwood, Kansas; two sisters Bertha Mitchell of St. Joseph, Geraldine Leach of Elwood, Kansas; 21 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
(Memorial Services:)11:00 AM Friday at Culbertson Chapel in Stewartsville, Missouri. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Starfield, Missouri. Mrs. Veraguth was a member of Missouri Cremation Services.
