Ruth Tennal Obituary

Ruth Izeyl Miller was born on August 6, 1929 in Haworth, New Jersey and died at the AC Village on October 1, 2025.
She was born to Clifton and Elfrieda Miller. Ruth graduated from Tenafly High School in 1947 and attended Washburn University in Topeka where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.
She married Ralph Tennal on June 25, 1949 in Haworth, New Jersey.
They had 6 children; Jill (Dennis) Weltig, Jefferson, MO., Jeff (Jesse Rocha) Tennal, Dallas, Tx., April (Kevin) Vaughn, Ft. Myers, Fl., Amy (Mark) Viskozki, Arlington, Tx., Darby (aka Pro) Tennal, Sabetha, Doug Tennal, Lamar, Mo.
Survivors also include 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a brother, Clifton Miller of Kettering, Ohio.
Ruth helped with the operation of the family newspaper, the Sabetha Herald, from 1970 until it was sold in 1992.
She was a member of the Sabetha Chapter EB of P.E.O.
Celebration of Life at a later date. Ruth Tennal was a member of the Kansas Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels or the Sabetha Library. Online guestbook and obituary at www.missouricremation.com.
