Roxie Jean Young, 69, Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Lebanon, Missouri, died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Truman Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Young was born July 7, 1937, in Camdenton, Missouri. She worked as a cook for a local truck stop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Albert and Mary Pearl (Neibarger) Young; her sister, Ruby Brown; and three brothers, Richard Strictland, Ray and Ralph Young.
She was of the Baptist faith.
(Survivors:) her sister, Retha Young; her brother, Rolland Young; nephews, James Walker and Roy Caufield and several other nieces and nephews.
Ms. Young was a member of Missouri Cremation Services.
