Robert G. Eggert
1927-2025

Robert G. Eggert, 98, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025.
He was born February 27, 1927 in Panama, Nebraska, to Merle and Mary Alta (Bailey) Eggert. Robert graduated from the consolidated high school in Phillips, Nebraska, and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Nebraska. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. from Cornell University.
He married Marybelle Dudeck on June 14, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 13, 2020.
He was a research animal nutritionist at American Cyanamid for 39 years.
He enjoyed reading, photography, traveling, and geneaology.
Survivors include his sons, Roderick Eggert and Thomas Eggert; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
