Rex A. Jones, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at his home.
He was born March 22, 1930, in St. Joseph, Missouri. After his marriage to Shirley Parker in 1956, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1957. Upon retirement, he moved back to St. Joseph in 1993.
Mr. Jones graduated from Benton High School in 1948, and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1952. He graduated from law school at Golden Gate College in 1961. He served during the Korean Conflict, in the United States Army Intelligence. Mr. Jones practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area until his retirement in 1993. An avid sailor, Mr. Jones enjoyed sailing in the San Francisco Bay.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Jones, brother John Jones, and sister Helen Kirschner.
(Survivors:) wife, Shirley; sons, Bruce and Bradley; daughter, Sandra; brother, Edward, and sister-in-law, Lucille Jones; and brother-in-law, Joseph Kirschner.
(Services:) Mr. Jones will be cremated under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory with private family services at a later date.
