Norman D. Ferdig, 92, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023.
He was born on October 11, 1930, in Filley, Nebraska to Charles E. Ferdig and Rachel H. (Quackenbush) Ferdig. He graduated from Filley High School in 1948.
On June 9, 1957, he married Rosa F. Fletcher in Boise, Idaho.
He was a proud member of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was also a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Washington Restoration Branch.
Norman worked for several years as a truck driver and dock worker for Garrett Freight and Viking Freight.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Rosa F. Ferdig; his parents, Charles and Rachel Ferdig; and siblings, John Ferdig, Altamae Knickerbocker, Bill Ferdig and Charles Ferdig.
Survivors include his children, Steven Ferdig (Vicki), Larry Ferdig (Deanna), Tami Lee (Roger), and Cheryl Ferdig; his sister, Patricia Brown (Richard); eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
