Obituary
Melanie Beth Doak
1962-2022
Melanie Beth Doak, 60, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at home, Thursday, November 24, 2022.
She was born April 17, 1962, in Columbia, Missouri to Robert Doak and Saralyn Davis Doak.
She worked at the North Kansas City YMCA in the child care center. She was a very active member of Barry Christian Church. She helped with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She also sang in the choir for many years. She truly loved to sing. She was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and KU Basketball. She loved to celebrate her birthday and started weeks before the big day! After her birthday, the holidays were her favorite time of the year. Angels were very dear to her and she collected many over the years. We know there is another special angel in heaven now.
Melanie was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Will D. and Lindalou Davis; and uncle, William D. Davis Jr.
Survivors include mother, Saralyn McFarland (Kenneth); sister, Tosha Clark (Paul); brother, J.D. Doak; nieces, Skylar and Taryn Clark.
Memorial Service 11:00 A.M. Monday, Barry Christian Church, 1500 NW Barry Road, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Barry Christian Church.
Melanie was a member of the Missouri Cremation Service.
