Mary Catherine Hudson, 74, Rock Port, Missouri passed away Monday, November 16, 2020.
On Dec. 19, 1945, a gift was given to the world in the form of a child born to Raymond Wyer and Vada Helen Wyer in Bethany, Missouri. The baby was named Mary Catherine Wyre.
As Mary grew, she developed a love for music, family and people in general.
In February of 1965, she was joined in marriage to Charles Rosenboom and started her family, having two children. Christina was born on Dec. 8, 1965, and Charles was born May 21, 1968.
The marriage to Charles Rosenboom was dissolved in May of 1970, and Mary as joined in marriage to Delbert Daniel Hudson in November of 1970. The marriage to Delbert lasted until January of 1988.
During this time, Mary proved to be one of the hardest working people that most would meet. She also showed herself to be a friend to all.
After her marriage ended, she buried herself in work and family. She always made time to get together with her family when presented with the opportunity, which earned her the name of “Aunt Mary” to many from inside and outside the family.
Mary had many different job titles, but it was those jobs helping others and taking care of others that she loved the most.
Mary retired at roughly 65 years old and spent her days doing what she loved most: growing flowers, feeding her “critters,” listening to music along with her wind chimes and, of course, being with her children and grandchildren along with her numerous friends/neighbors who considered her as family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Terry and sister, Donna.
She is survived by two sisters, Kay and Jean; daughter, Christina Hudson; son, Charles Hudson; grandchildren, Jarod and Sarah Hudson, Jacob Sturtz, Dylan Noble and Catherine Crowner; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
