Martha Gardner Cox Vaughn, 89, Platte City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at St. Luke's Northland Hospital.
Martha was born June 10, 1919 in DeKalb, Missouri to Charles and Kathryn (Staton) Gardner. She married Jack S. Cox, he preceded her in death on December 29, 1965. She later married John Vaughn who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Vaughn was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sonny and David Gardner; and son, Charles Michael Cox.
(Survivors:) daughters, Diane Good, Dearborn, Missouri, and Sharon Anderson and her husband Marvin, Weston, Missouri; sons, Jerry Cox and his wife Marjorie, Weston, Missouri, and Larry Cox and his wife Beverly, Platte City, Missouri; sister, Sarah Jean Hays, Connecticut; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
(Memorial Services:) 6:30 P.M. Friday, Dearborn Christian Church, Dearborn, Missouri. Mrs. Vaughn has been cremated under the direction of Missouri Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers the Family suggests memorial donations to the Dearborn Christian Church Building Fund, Dearborn, Missouri.
