Jim Chipman, 79, of Plattsburg, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
Born on Nov. 25, 1937, in Kansas City Kansas to Herbert and Mildred (Keener) Chipman.
Jim was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Jim was an antique dealer in California for many years. He was the owner of Whiskers & Company Antiques in Plattsburg Missouri, a member of the American Legion Post 97 Plattsburg and the American Antique Appraisal Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife Elenor of the home; his children Robin (John) Wilks of Kansas City KS; Heidi (Dennis) Prechazka of Belton MO; Todd Chipman of Lawrence KS; Laurel (Kenny) DeFreece of Plattsburg MO; Dena Cochran and Brook (Brent) St. John both of Gatlinburg TN; Rodman (Shirley) Smith of Barrington IL. 11grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Inurnment service will be held 11:00am Thursday Feb.23, 2017 at the Green Lawn Cemetery Plattsburg MO. The Family suggests memorial gifts to American Legion Post 97 or Green Lawn Cemetery. Online Obituary and Guest book at www.baileycox.com.
