1938-2023

James M. Lawrence, 85, Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
He was born March 14, 1938 to Edward D. and Margaret (Cline) Lawrence in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania.
James married Betty Jo Cunningham on October 25, 1959 and were married for 61 years before her passing on August 1st, 2020.
He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army.
James enjoyed fishing, telling stories, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Betty; grandson, Dillon Lawrence; and grandson-in-law, William Lowe.
Survivors include children, Vicki A. Newton, Robert K. Paige, James C. Lawrence, Gary M. Lawrence, John A. Lawrence, Robin L. Lawrence and David E. Lawrence, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
