Gene Ward Obituary

Gene Ward, 94, Tonganoxie, Kansas, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022.
He was born September 10,1928 in Manhattan Kansas to Raymond Ward and Hermina Dingler.
Gene married Dot Schiffner November 23, 1949.
He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Army Air Core and Air Force Reserves.
Gene enjoyed traveling to Yellowstone National Park annually throughout many years of his life. He also loved his grandchildren dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Connie Phelps and Joellen Waldron.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years; sons, Mitch Ward (Marlena) and Scott Ward Sr. (Christine); grandchildren, Raymond Ward, Scott Lee Ward, Ben Ward, Brandon Ward, Michelle Ward, and Ashley Van Ommerem. Several great grandchildren nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gene was a member of the Kansas Cremation Service.
