Edna Marie Rutherford, 85, St. Joseph, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
Edna was born March 29, 1924, in Whitesville, MO, the daughter of Louis Charles and Opal (Pierce) Wertin.
She was a 1941 graduate of Easton High School and attended Business College in St. Joseph. She worked at the Credit Bureau before marrying Forrest Rutherford, July 22, 1944. To this union a son, Gary Allen was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son. (Survivors:) sisters, Mary Ann Schmitz (Leo), Clarksdale, DeLora Clampitt, St. Joseph, Helen Smith, Topeka, KS and Lucy Tanner, Houston, TX. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Green Valley Baptist Church of which she was a member.
