Duane Cashman
1936-2021
He fought a long battle but lost to complications from Covid. Duane Cashman, 85, passed away Friday Oct. 29, 2021, at CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, NE.
Duane was born Sept. 2, 1936, on a farm near Netawaka, KS, the son of George and Lola (Streeter) Cashman. Spending most of his life in Hiawatha and Horton, Ks. He ran a paper route, worked in pest control and was a roofer.
Duane enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and darts. He spent many hours hunting morel mushrooms with Rodney Paden. He loved reading books and spending time with his family.
Duane is survived by Hazel Cashman. His sisters Sally Ann Strawn and Shirley Kaye Martin. Daughters, Lola Wilson, and Loretta Cashman. Sons, David Cashman, and Keith Cashman. Grandchildren, Timothy Wilson, Cindy Robidoux, Nathaniel (Amanda) Cashman, and Shania Cashman Waage. Several great Grandchildren, neices and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Lola Cashman. Sisters, Georgia McAfee, Beatrice Couch, Marjorie Voelker, and Mary Catherine Cashman. Brothers, John Cashman and Dennis Cashman; Step-son Michael Perkins.
Memorial services to be held at a later date in Horton, KS. Memorials to be directed to his family for later designation.
