Dean Howe
1935-2012
Dean Howe, 77, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 26, 1935 to Dean Otis, Sr. and Eleanor (Waddell) Howe in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. Howe was a self-employed preservationist. He restored six homes throughout the U.S. and was a restorer of 19th and 20th Century Lighting, both gas and electric. Dean was a true Renaissance man, along with being a preservationist he also was a reproducing piano guru and a Märklin Train expert. He was the great grandson of William Waddell, one of the founders of the Pony Express, and the founder and director of Mimosa Museum in Covington, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: his life partner, Robert Moldowan, St. Joseph.
Mr. Howe was a member of the Missouri Cremation Service.
