1943-2016

Charles Golden, 72, Independence, Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospice.
He was born December 8, 1943 in Fairfax, Missouri.
Charles graduated from Fairfax High School. He proudly served in the US Army from 1961-1964 during the Vietnam War. Charles was also a trombone player in the US Army Band. He had a special love for music and also enjoyed photography and working with computers.
Charles was a manager in the transportation industry for 35 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 286 in Fairfax, Missouri and Waldo Ave Restoration Branch, where he also served as treasurer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Pansy (Foltz) Golden; first wife, Helen Louise (Bramble); and sisters, Frances Ivy and Pauline Bryant.
Survivors include wife, Patricia Golden; daughter, Tammy Cappatocio (James); son, Paul Good (Veronica); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and extended family.
Memorial Service 1:30 P.M., Saturday, Waldo Avenue Restoration Branch, 819 West Waldo Ave., Independence, Missouri 64050. Charles was a member of the Missouri Cremation Service. Online guestbook and obituary at www.missouricremation.com.
