Carol Ford
1942-2019
Carol Ford, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Ignite Medical Resort, Kansas City.
She was born August 14, 1942, in St Joseph, Missouri. Carol graduated from Benton High School in 1960. She worked as a secretary for many years. Carol also graduated from Hillyard Technical Center in 1997 with a Medical Transcription Certificate. She was awarded the Passport to Success Award. Then began her career as a Medical Transcriptionist.
Carol enjoyed gardening and yard work. Her passion was watching her son grow through Boy Scouts and various sports. She dearly loved to see her grandchildren’s activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Ford; parents, William T. and Maxine “Pappoo” (Still) Bishop; and sisters, Jean Callen and Shirley Mattox.
Survivors include her son, Greg Ford (Susan); grandson, Joseph Ford; granddaughters, Hailee, Harper, and Hadley Ford; brothers-in-law, Wilbur Callen and Richard “Dick” Mattox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Carol’s request Farewell Services are private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Children’s Mercy Hospital in honor of Joseph Ford.
