Billy Dean Browning
1933-2008
Billy Dean Browning, 75, St. Joseph, died Thursday, September 18, 2008.
Mr. Browning was born August 2, 1933 in Elmo, Missouri. Bill graduated from Central High School. He married Donna (Kibble) Cox on August 12, 1983. She preceded him in death on October 17, 2007.
He retired from Monumental Life Insurance after 36 years of service. He was a member of Moila, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation.
Mr. Browning was also preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Francis (Weddle) Browning; brother, Robert Browning; and step son, Darren Cox.
(Survivors;) nephew, Ronald Browning; two step sons, Donald Cox and wife Lani and Douglas Cox and wife Mary; grandchildren, Amber Cox, Alecia Cox, Andrea Cox, Jessica Dittemore, Tanner Keck, Megan Tolar, Miranda Tolar, Jessica Pearce and husband Doug, David Roland and wife Tamara, Douglas Cox II and wife Melissa, and Andrew Cox; great grand children, Kodi Clark, Ethan Cox, Brielle Pearce, Izabelle Roland, and Jocelyn Roland; and great niece, Talissa Browning.
Mr. Browning has been cremated under the direction of Missouri Cremation Services. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Family suggests memorial gifts to the Bill Browning Memorial Fund at Nodaway Valley Bank for flowers at his grave.
