Betty May Goldstein, 83, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
She was born August 25, 1941 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and continued her education to earn a bachelor’s degree in communication and later in education.
Betty married Larry J. Goldstein on June 12, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2011.
She was a teacher for 30 years. She taught for New York City Public schools and Los Angeles Unified School District.
Betty enjoyed card games, wordpuzzles, mysteries, and musical theater.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Larry; her brothers, Edwin and Carl; her parents, Edwin and Dorothy Clopton;
Survivors include her children, David Goldstein (Tammy) and Andromeda Night; grandchildren, Samantha, Sabrina (Emily), Alexander, Veronica, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Davin, Jensen, and Starla; several nieces and nephews.
