Bettie Ruth Arnold
1935-2024
Bettie Ruth Arnold, 89, Amity, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at her home.
She was born on April 24, 1935, to Clarence and Laura (Kitchen) Harris in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Bettie married Robert Burk Arnold on July 13, 1953. He preceded her in death.
She worked as an electronics assembler for Varian Aerograph in Walnut Creek, California for several years.
Later in life, Bettie spent five years volunteering with Head Start in Maysville. She enjoyed visiting the casino and watching YouTube videos. She was also an avid San Francisco 49er’s fan.
Bettie was also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Laura Harris; daughter, Sherri Day; siblings, Novolene Turner, Naomi Harris, and Grady Harris; and infant granddaughter, Jennifer Skelton.
Survivors include her children, Theresa Nichols, Tim Arnold (Kari) and Mike Arnold; grandchildren, Jeff Nichols (Robin), Jessica Nichols, Anthony Skelton (Nickole), Nichelle Nichols, Matthew Nichols and Victor Arnold; great-grandchildren, Houston Nichols, Riley, Julian and Jaxon Nichols, Blake and Spencer Kincaid, and Bo Skelton; great-great-grandson, Ryker Kincaid, and her brother, Fred Harris (Regina).
