Barbara Addison, 74, Valley Falls, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024.
She was born November 23. 1949 in Emporia, Kansas, to Robert and Betty (Dillon) Campbell.
Barbara dedicated her life to her work, serving as a vet tech at various clinics and for a few years at the Tonganoxie Bank. She later returned to her true calling, working as a vet tech for Dr. Joseph A. "Doc Joe" Kobuszewski, where she retired after his passing.
Barbara's love for animals was evident in her every action. She adored showing her dogs, traveling, showing horses, teaching 4-H Dog Obedience, grooming, and raising cattle.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty (Dillon) Campbell; her sister, Wanetta (Bonnie) Campbell-England; her bother-in-law, Gene England; her best friend, cohort, and partner in cattle and trouble Leo K. (Kenny) Merando; nephew Rick England; great-nephews Chase and Chance Blanton; and Baby Storey.
Barbara's love extended to her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Addison, Estes Park, CO; her nieces Teri Blanton (Mark), Hemet, CA, and Tina Storey, Riverside, CA; great nieces Rylee and Kaycee; Great-Nephews Kristopher, Troy, Jon, and Roger; and great-nieces and nephews, plus her "adopted" nephew David and his wife Barbara Lawrence, Lawrence, KS, and their daughters Morgan and Samantha.
Barbara will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time. If you wish, you can make donations to her favorite charities in her name: Crossroads Ministry Of Estes Park, Estes Park Police Department Blue Santa, or St. Jude's Cancer Research.
