Following is the list of services that are provided in a contract with Missouri Cremation Services:
  • Removal from place of death and transfer of the remains to the crematory
  • Receptacle to be cremated in
  • Container cremains are returned in
  • Filing of death certificates
  • Filing of Social Security survivor's benefits
  • Writing and placing of obituary to one newspaper/$10 placement fee for each additional publication
  • Child/Grandchild Protection (Certificate must be completed and filed with MCS/KCS prior to a death). This plan offers financial protection in the event of an unforeseen circumstance in which any of your unmarried children or grandchildren were to pass away before the age of 21
  • Memorial Service Planner: Many of our members find a memorial service to be an essential step in the healing process. MCS/KCS offers a step by step instructional planner that allows members and their loved ones to customize and plan a personalized memorial service in the privacy of their own home, at their own pace. The Memorial Service Planner option will provide all of the necessary paperwork, organizational tools, personalization suggestions and the option of purchasing  service folders, thank you notes, memory video, memorial register book and donation envelopes to insure a lasting, memorable tribute that will help your loved ones during the most difficult of times.

    Refrigeration/Sheltering of Deceased – In cases when families cannot or will not provide us with the state required cremation authorization documents, a refrigeration/sheltering fee will be charged at $100 per day after 72 hours of receiving the deceased into our care.

    Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

    Priority Delivery through U.S. Postal Service (Two-Day Delivery) - $75.00 view details

    Cremated remains may be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service, return receipt requested and insured, to any domestic destination. Two-day delivery is guaranteed for standard Monday through Friday by the U.S. Postal Service.

    Personal Delivery of Cremated Remains - $295.00 view details
    One of our associates will hand-deliver the cremated remains to the agreed upon location between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday as determined by our schedule.
    Family to Pick up Cremated Remains - No Charge view details

    We will hold the cremated remains at no charge for 30 days until arrangements are made for their release to the family at our facility or at an affiliate location. Cremated remains left over 60 days are subject to a holding fee of $100.00 per month. If the recipient does not pick up the cremated remains within 60 days, the cremated remains may be disposed of in any lawful manner.
