Margaret (Maggie) L. Collins, 92, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on February 11, 2021. She was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, in 1928 to Jay and Charlotte (Jagger) Kester. Maggie graduated from Chillicothe High School, Class of 1946. After high school, she worked six years for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co as a telephone operator. She married Bobbie G. (Bob) Collins in 1948. After marriage, they moved to Orange, Texas for three years, and then returned to Kansas City, where they raised their two children.
Maggie enjoyed playing bridge with several different clubs in the Northland area, especially with her friends in her Wednesday group. She also loved spending time with her four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Swift; granddaughters, Angelique (Grant) Turnage, Courtney Collins, and Lauren (Brad) Dymond; great-grandchildren, Bobby, Lola, Brynn, Colin, Ivy and Barrett; and several nieces and nephews.
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie (Bob); son, Robert (Bob) Collins; grandson, Adam White; her parents; and three siblings.
In keeping with Maggie’s wishes, there will be no service. Maggie was a member of the Missouri Cremation Service.
