Kenneth LeMoyne Lowmiller, Jr.
1937-2019
Kenneth L. Lowmiller, Jr.,82, Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019.
He was born December 17, 1937 in Millersburg, Kentucky to Kenneth and Ethel (Plummer) Lowmiller.
Kenneth married Dorothy England July 20, 1970; she preceded him in death.
He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army; he enlisted in 1955 and having served in the Vietnam War, retired from active duty in 1980 at Fort Sill, OK.
Ken was a member and Past Worshipful Master of Lawton Masonic Lodge #183, A.F.& A.M., and was a 33° Scottish Rite Mason of the Valley of Guthrie, Orient of Oklahoma. Ken also was a member of the Fort Sill Chapter #129 of the National Sojourner’s Inc. and had served as the National President of the Sojourner’s from 1994-1995, as well as Camp Commander of the Phil Sheridan Camp, Heroes of ’76. His many Masonic affiliations include the Oklahoma Knights Templar, The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Oklahoma, and served as the Most Excellent Grand High Priest in 1991, and Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Oklahoma, Past Illustrious Master of the Tipton, OK Council. He was made a Noble of the Mystic Shrine, India Temple in 1977 and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #514.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracey L. Lowmiller, of San Rafael, California.
Graveside Farewell Services & Inurnment 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 21st at the committal shelter, Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
Mr. Lowmiller was a member of Missouri Cremation Services.
